What were your first creative outlets as a kid?
From a young age, I’ve always had a keen interest in visual arts, which later prompted me at
the age of 13, to discover photography as a means of expression.
When and how did you get your first camera?
My first camera was given to me as a birthday present; I remember it was a Nikon Coolpix 2200.
Although before that, I used to borrow my father’s camera all the time.
What about photography drew you in and what about it kept you wanting to keep doing
it?
In the beginning, I was drawn to the idea of capturing those moments with my friends on the
skateboard. I used to photograph tricks, portraits, spaces, and experiences.
From there, I developed an interest in more documentary photography and experimented with
analog photography.
Today, what motivates me is the wide range of possibilities that photography offers, from more
documentary and pure photography to more painterly and abstract photography.
What moments are you looking to capture?
Right now, I’m interested in more conceptual photography. I’m also developing professionally in
architectural and product photography.
What qualities do you want to find in the people that you shoot?
I’m not looking for anything specific, it just comes naturally in the moment. Nevertheless, I
appreciate individuals who have a story to tell.
How often do you take spontaneous photos versus planning something out?
It’s a 50%-50%. In my professional photography, I have to plan things in advance. But on the
personal side, I’m more spontaneous and go with the flow of the moment.
What was the last photo that got away?
Wow! I couldn’t tell you, but it was probably because the SD card was full.
Who do you look up to?
I have many referents, but I draw a lot of inspiration from: Salva López, Lucia Garcia, and Bryan
Saragosa.
What was the last photo you took that made you laugh?
A photo of my girlfriend Aina that I took at home a couple of weeks ago.
What’s the best memory you have with your camera?
I don’t know if it’s the best, but I can’t get out of my head when I dropped two cameras in a river
and lost them 🙁
